It’s not just my wardrobe I make changes to come fall, I also change my nail color. During the summer I like to wear either soft colors like OPI “Let’s Be Friends” or my all time favorite OPI “Cajun Shrimp”. In the fall I like to change to a darker color to coordinate with the color of my wardrobe.
This year I had an expert to help me pick my color. My future daughter-in-law is a professional nail technician. I called her and asked the the newest colors were for fall and these are what she said were going to be popular for fall.
- If Got the Blues For Red
- Miami Beet
- Lincoln Park After Dark
- Bogota Blackberry
- I’m Really Not a Waitress
- BlackBerry Chutney
- We the Female
- What’s the Hatter With You
Manicure maintenance is very easy if you already have color on your nails, she advises to get a cuticle oil at a Sally Beautify Supply and just apply that when you feel that your cuticles are dry. If you don’t have color on your nails she recommends that your soak them in warm water with a little bit of hand washing soap and once the cuticles are soft enough use a cuticle pusher and push them back. Having your cuticles pushed back makes the cuticle grow in a certain direction and sometimes helps it grow slower. The more you push the cuticle back the more you put it on a routine and the less you have to trim them.
For those that want to get a manicure but don’t have time they can grab the new style that OP just came out with called “Infinite Shine”
Make sure to get a top and base coat as well and your color will last longer than just using polish alone. Make sure to apply the top coat twice and wait 10-15 minutes between the two coats.
I hope these tips help with your fall update manicures.
